Lodhran – Punjab Minister for Labor, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, has issued firm orders to ensure strict compliance with the minimum wage law, mandating a monthly salary of Rs. 37,000 for all workers. He emphasized zero tolerance for violations, warning of severe action against institutions that fail to comply with the law.
To review and implement the minimum wage in Lodhran district, a special meeting was held at the Regional Headquarters Multan, presided over by Director of Labor, Rana Jamshed Farooq. The meeting was attended by field officers from Lodhran district, who deliberated on various measures to protect workers’ rights and ensure adherence to the law.
During the meeting, Director Rana Jamshed Farooq instructed field officers to remain proactive in preventing worker exploitation and take immediate, effective action against violating organizations. He also highlighted the activation of a helpline, 1314, where workers can lodge their complaints. These complaints will be addressed on a priority basis to ensure workers receive their due rights without delay.
The minister’s initiative marks a significant step in safeguarding labor rights and upholding the dignity of workers across the province.
