Lodhran (VOL) – Deputy Commissioner Syed Waseem Hassan presided over a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee on Dengue Control at the DC Office Committee Room. The session was attended by CEO Health Dr. Faisal Waheed, Assistant Commissioner Lodhran Iram Shehzadi, Assistant Commissioner Kehror Pakka Ashraf Saleh, Assistant Commissioner Dunyapur Anam Sagheer Bajwa, and officials from relevant departments.
During the meeting, CEO Health briefed the chair on indoor and outdoor dengue surveillance and anti-dengue initiatives. It was reported that as part of preventive measures, 46 FIRs have been registered, 1,610 warning notices issued, and 46 properties sealed for violations.
DC Syed Waseem Hassan stressed the importance of enhancing daily surveillance by anti-dengue teams, particularly in areas prone to mosquito breeding, such as graveyards, junkyards, tire shops, stagnant water sites, and under-construction buildings.
“Larvicide operations in these hotspots must continue without interruption,” the DC emphasized. He urged all departments to work collaboratively to eliminate dengue and warned that negligence in this regard will not be tolerated under any circumstance
